Prenatal

• Two prenatal visits (each approximately 1-2 hours in length) We will discuss your specific needs and desires for your birth & give you tools to formulate a plan, as well as tools to share that plan with your care provider.

• We will discuss and practice hands-on comfort measures & research-based positions for labor. We love to teach support partners lots of labor tools as well, and there are many opportunities during prenatal visits for this!

• We will discuss how you are feeling physically, and at your request can offer you specific prenatal exercises for your body and how you are carrying based on The Body Ready Method.

• open communication throughout your pregnancy. We are available to you via phone call, text, and email for anything that comes up and will be “on call” 24/7 two weeks before your due date until birth.

• Additionally, your prenatal visits are simply a time for us to get to know you and your partner better! We will explore your history…such as previous pregnancies or birth experiences. We love developing friendships with our clients.. pregnancy and birth are so intimate & it’s an honor to walk with you on the journey.

Labor & Delivery

• We offer continuous doula support throughout your entire labor & delivery.

• Your doula be there to support you in person beginning at the start of active labor. As a member of your birth team, we strive to work with your team of providers seamlessly & professionally.

• Birth is an opportunity for your body to do what it was made for, and we will be there to hold space for you to birth as freely & confidently as possible. If or when they are necessary, we will offer position suggestions & hands-on massage & comfort techniques. We am trained in specific techniques for stalls in labor, babies who find themselves in funky positions, and beyond!

• Support during your birth encompasses any number of things!… comfort measures, snacks, keeping you (and your partner) hydrated, advocacy, decision-making support, iPhone photography, & more. We are there for whatever you need, whenever you need it.

• We will support you in person immediately after your delivery for 1-2 hours, or more if necessary

Postpartum

Shortly after your birth we will have a postpartum visit. This is a chance for your doula to check in with you, see how everyone is adjusting, discuss your birth if desired, & offer any resources or recommendations you may want (breastfeeding support, tools for your physical recovery, sleep education etc).
